While most people take to social media to comment on the fashion wins but also faux pas of the Met Gala, last night (6 May), when Cardi B was spotted on the red carpet at at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City everyone was left saying the same thing and it was nothing to do with her fit.
The gown was a black off-the-shoulder number with huge plumes of skirt in a full-circle train.
The ‘WAP’ rapper accessorised the look with similarly attention-grabbing earrings and a dazzling necklace.
Oh and she had to have nine men help her carry in her dress because it was that big and heavy.
However, it wasn’t just her outfit which caught social media users’ eyes online.

Cardi ended up being caught in Vogue’s live feed of the event, however, her phone did too and more importantly, the camera picked up her opening her phone from the lock screen and doing so by tapping in her password slowly to account for her long nails – her password on display for all the world to see.
And it hasn’t taken long for people to flock online in concern for the musician’s safety.

One X user said: “Did we just saw cardi b’s phone password at the british vogue’s tiktok live?? Lol #MetGala”
“We just got cardi b’s phone password on live television,” another added.
A third commented: “OMG THE MET GALA IS SOOO MESSSSYYYYYY I KNOW CARDI B PHONE PASSWORD.”
“CARDI B, THE WHOLE WORLD KNOWS YOUR PHONE PASSWORD NOW,” a fourth said.

And a final resolved: “Now why would u post this.”
Although, unless anyone stole Cardi’s phone later on in the evening and managed to pop her password in and access other details, she’s probably alright.
And with tickets to the 2024 Met Gala reported as costing $75,000 each and tables from $350,00, I think the rapper was probably safe from any kind of scam or extortion.
