BABYMONSTER’s b.ig fanbase showed profanity when it publicly mocked Jennie, later claiming that the account was hacked. However, BLACKPINK fans did not believe and became even more frustrated, causing this fanbase owner to choose to lock his account.
On the evening of May 8, social network X (Twitter) exploded with controversy over the question of BABYMONSTER fandom using vulgar words to mock Jennie (BLACKPINK).
Specifically, under a post about Jennie (BLACKPINK) at the MET Gala from an international fanbase, BABYMONSTER’s fanbase with nearly 41,000 followers left a disparaging comment about Jennie with an extremely rude icon: “Jennie sucks (with vomit icon)“.
This comment immediately went viral and this made the BLACKPINK fan community in general, Jennie’s fans in particular extremely angry, wanted to “leak” and immediately asked this fanbase to publicly apologize to the idol.
Immediately after the outbreak of controversy, this fanbase quickly spoke out on his personal page. Accordingly, BABYMONSTER’s fanbase explained the vulgar comment: “Hi, we are the support team for BABYMONSTER. We sincerely apologize for our controversial tweet towards Jennie in the BLACKPINK fan post. Our team doesn’t know who replied to that message, and we want to clarify that there has been suspicious activity on our account.
Around 2am yesterday, someone changed our password. In this regard, our main administrator immediately changed the password again. None of our Filipino administrators use iPhones but there was a suspicious login from an iPhone about 45 minutes before the tweet was posted. (Screenshot below).
We deeply regret any inconvenience or injury this may have caused and we are taking immediate steps to address this issue.
We extend our deepest apologies to Jennie and her fans for this unfortunate incident. At the moment we are doing our best to fix the problem, but despite changing the password several times, someone other than the administrator can still access our account. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience. In the future, we will be more careful when creating or responding to posts about BABYMONSTER or other artists.”
In general, this article wants to explain that the account has been hacked, so this fanbase is trying to clean up the mistake smoothly. However, this made Jennie’s fans even more angry and felt disrespected. Therefore, the BABYMONSTER fanbase is still attacked so strongly that it has to lock its account.
The fact that BABYMONSTER’s FC touched other idols caused a lot of influence on their idols. Fans of the female rookie group YG also spoke out to criticize the fanbase’s way of doing things, and apologized in hopes of wishing Jennie’s fans’ anger to cool down. In this regard, both sides and bystanders clearly see who is right and who is wrong, both Jennie and BABYMONSTER are the victims in this story.
Recently, BLACKPINK’s Jennie appeared at the 2024 MET Gala and took the media by storm, who praised the critic immeasurably. Appearing at the red carpet, Jennie wore an eye-catching design from the French brand.
Jennie caught the eye in a cobalt blue asymmetrical cropped dress. The design scores strongly with fashionistas thanks to the stylized detail connecting the s.kirt and a.rms, creating a beautiful visual effect.
Jennie’s fashion choices this year were highly appreciated by international media. Rolling Stone called her “K-pop royalty.” The newspaper commented that the dress worn by the singer Solo was a multi-dimensional masterpiece, s.howing o.ff her waist and toned l.egs and deep slit behind.
In particular, Jennie is also a VIP guest invited by Anna Wintour – editor-in-chief of Global Vogue, president of the Met Gala – to stay and prepare for the Met Gala at The Mark New York 5-star hotel – only 9 minutes by car from the venue. On Twitter, the keyword “JENNIE AT MET GALA” reached nearly 500 thousand posts, reaching the Top trends in the fashion and beauty section. This shows Jennie’s attraction every time she appears.
However, many people believe that Jennie’s outfit does not fit the theme of this year’s Met Gala.
