Luxury Treehouses At Center Parcs In Cumbria Are Available To Book

If you’re up for a bit of a staycation this autumn, you could do worse than to check out the new treehouses that are available to book at Whinfell Forest Center Parcs in Cumbria right now.

The four unusual luxury accommodations have en-suite bedrooms, a hot tub and a sauna, and a detached playroom for the kids to get up to whatever they like.

They’re just up the M6 in Cumbria, not that far away from Penrith, and also have a large open plan living area and kitchen, offering expansive views of the wonderful forest that the park is set in, as well as a nice private balcony.

You can stay in groups of eight, or at least that’s what they’d allow did the latest coronavirus rules prohibit gatherings of more than six people.

If the weather isn’t playing ball – which is has been known to do in Cumbria – there’s a games room with a pool table and a telly, which ordinarily would have games consoles and games, but those have had to be removed because of you-know-what.

Another thing that’s changed is that daily housekeeping is no longer permitted, but you can still get extra towels and toiletries and the like.

As an administrative note, each treehouse has a ‘treehouse host’ and two parking spaces.

Whinfell Forest is just the latest of several Center Parcs locations to launch treehouses, alongside Sherwood Forest, Elveden Forest, Woburn Forest, and Longleat Forest.

Glen Franklin, the Whinfell Forest Village Director, said that he was ‘thrilled’ that they’d been able to reopen after months closed down because of the coronavirus.

He added: “I can’t think of many better places than Cumbria to relax in a hot tub high amongst the trees and enjoy the beautiful views of our natural forest.”

So, if you’re keen to get away from everything and stay in a lovely countryside treehouse for a few days, a break of four days in the middle of the week will set you back £2,229 for eight people, which works out as £71 per head for every night.

Oh, but you can’t take eight people away together at the minute, as we’ve covered, unless you’ve got a really big immediate family that all live in the same house.

There have been other changes at the park since the Covid-19 pandemic took everything over.

Guests can only use the Subtropical Swimming Paradise two times in two sessions if they are on a four day holiday.

If you’re there for a week, you can go four times.

Showers and dryers won’t be open, but – fortunately – the water slides will.
