Coco Martin and senators Bong Revilla, Robin Padilla, Lito Lapid join forces for upcoming film

Coco Martin is sharing the big screen with not one but three senators: Bong Revilla Jr., Robin Padilla, and Lito Lapid.

The news of their team-up came after Bong posted on his Instagram account a picture of him having a meal with his three co-stars. Also present in the picture were stunt director Val Iglesias, Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority Chief Operating Officer Mark Lapid, actor Rez Cortez, and director Brillante Mendoza.

“Ayos na,” Bong captioned the post, adding a thumbs-up emoji at the end.

In a report by PEP, the actor-turned-senator confirmed that their movie together will be moving forward with Mendoza in the director’s seat and Imus Productions serving as the production company.

While the premise is still under wraps, Bong teased that the story will revolve around an issue that has long been talked about. There is also a possibility that the film will be a part of the next Metro Manila Film Festival.

While this is the first time that the foursome will be joining forces together, Bong had previously worked with Coco for the 2002 film Ang Agimat: Anting-anting ni Lolo.

On the other hand, Coco had joined forces with Lito in the past for the 2022 film Apag, which is also helmed by Mendoza. Both actors are also currently sharing the television screen for the action-drama series FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.
