Song Ha-yoon’s agency released an official statement dismissing the school violence accusation reported by JTBC.
On the evening of April 1st, Song Ha-yoon’s agency King Kong by Starship stated, “We would like to reveal our position on the recent report about actress Song Ha-yoon”, adding “After checking the facts with the actress about the informant’s claims, we confirm that the actress has never met the informant and all the claims are not true”.
The agency continued, “Our company is aware of the seriousness of this matter so we tried to contact the informant to check the facts after receiving the first report”, adding “We sent a message requesting a meeting with the informant to verify the facts, but the informant rejected it. After that, we requested a phone call but received no answer”.
They added, “Indiscriminate speculations and suspicions based on the informant’s unilateral claims are spreading. In this regard, we sincerely ask everyone to refrain from reporting unverified information and speculative news”.
Earlier on the same day, a JTBC program raised suspicions of school violence by actress S based on a disclosure from an informant who claimed to be S’s victim. S was later confirmed to be Song Ha-yoon as her agency released their stance right after the broadcast.
