Travis Barker is weighing in on the feud between his wife, Kourtney Kardashian, and her sister, Kim Kardashian — and he’s letting fans know that he has nothing to do with it.
The first and second born Kardashian siblings have been at odds for several years now, culminating in a heated phone call during a recent episode of The Kardashians. As tensions between the sisters built up, fans began to speculated that Travis Barker may be at the root of their issues.
In his 2015 memoir, published four years before he and Kourtney began dating, the Blink-182 drummer revealed that he once had a crush on his now-wife’s younger sister. He described Kim as, “f—king hot” and wrote that he was “secretly checking her out,” despite dating Kim’s friend Paris Hilton at the time.
However, in a recent interview, Barker denied that Kim and Kourtney’s feud had nothing to do with him or his memoir confession.
“You give people a little information and they think they’ve solved the mystery of ‘This is why they’re fighting.’ It’s just so ridiculous,” he told the Los Angeles Times.
“I obviously shared all that stuff because I wanted to move past it. It was therapeutic for me. … That’s her sister. She knows we used to talk. Nothing bad was going on,” Barker added, insisting that he and Kim were never physical.
Barker’s ex-wife Shanna Moakler, added fuel to these allegations back in 2021 when she claimed Barker had an affair with Kim during their marriage. “I divorced my ex because, I saw them — I caught them having an affair,” she told Us Weekly. “He had already had an affair with Paris Hilton.”
However, in addition to Barker’s most recent denial, Kim has also denied ever having a romantic relationship with her brother-in-law.
“NO! False narrative!” Kim wrote, back in 2021, in response to a fan asking if she’d ever hooked up with Barker. “We’ve been friends for years, and I’m so happy for him and Kourt.”
