A fitness blogger and personal trainer has posted two side by side photos to highlight the problem with women comparing themselves to bodies on social media.
Anjuli Mack shared the images with her 153k followers on Instagram, saying they were taken seconds apart.
She wrote: “This is not a before and after.

:heavy_multiplication_x: This is not a before and after :heavy_multiplication_x: Although it wouldn’t surprise me if fad diet, keto detoxes and random overseas supplement companies use it to promote their own agenda IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. Companies prey on people desperate for a quick fix but in reality this is just puffing out & then sucking in. Seconds apart as seen on my video post yesterday  “When I sit down I have rolls, how do I get rid of them?” “At the end of the day my tummy looks bloated. Why?” “I have been working so hard but I still have rolls.” The list of things I get in the dms goes on :two_hearts: I never get tired if educating all of you, I am here to help as much as possible So a few key things I wish I knew when I started & what I want all of you to know is… :one: You cannot outwork your nutrition. In order to lose fat from anywhere you need to be in a caloric deficit (eating less calories than your body requires to maintain) :heavy_check_mark: :two: Carbs are not the enemy. You can eat bread and pasta :spaghetti::tongue: But the key is in moderation & alignment with your goals. :three: Social media & magazines are NOT real life. It is curated to what someone wants you to see :eyes: You will never see 100% of someone’s life online. :four: Focus on YOU. Don’t try to copy XYZ, fad diets or waste money on juice detoxes. Just get a plan in place & stick to it :muscle: Trust your coach & the process. I wish I had got a coach from day one. :five: Be kind to yourself! Years from now you won’t care aboht the occassional night you “fell off your diet” with friends or the holiday with family where you felt bad for eating at the breakfast buffet You want to remember the life time memories made with loved ones :hearts: Anjuli :v: XO

She explained that she often gets DMs from followers saying that they ask her for quick fixes and how to stop having normal things like rolls of skin when they bend over.

Sept to Nov 2017 :fire: 10 weeks: 5.4kg :arrow_heading_down: After a few months of over eating after my first competition I decided “enough was enough” & stopped making excuses :100: Booked in a photoshoot for my birthday & started working :heavy_check_mark: The only way to lose fat from anywhere (chest, waist, back, legs, butt etc) is with nutrition. I found these old photos today & it reminded me of how far I have come on my journey  People see my big transformations that are years apart and think it will take years to achieve their goals :two_hearts: BUT if you get a plan in place and stick to it, you can get great results in a shorter amount of time :muscle: There are no short cuts or magic pills that will give you the results you want. It all comes down to having goals, getting a plan in place, committing to it & being patient Hard work pays off eventually… if you never give up. You will fall off track from time to time. It happens to us all ♀️ But what matters most is that you get back up and keep going. 2020 has been a really tough year for everyone. Be kind to yourself and others :two_hearts: This transformation is my inspo to end this year feeling on track and amazing :dancer: 10 weeks until my birthday :gift: letssssss gooooo Anjuli  @fitwithanjuli #tbt
The 26-year-old said that she has suffered from bad body image in the past, telling Daily Mail Australia in 2019: “I ended up developing a really unhealthy relationship with food and exercise as I was trying so many different things that weren’t working.”
She now runs a page that promotes health, fitness and body positivity.
