Kim Chiu, Xian Lim have sp.lit, says Ogie Diaz

Kim Chiu, Xian Lim have split, says Ogie Diaz

Kim Chiu and Xian Lim have called it quits after 12 years together according to talent manager Ogie Diaz.

Citing a source close to the pair, Ogie said in his showbiz news vlog on December 12 that Kim and Xian have been separated for some time now.

“A friend of mine, and a friend of Xian and Kim Chiu, told me na totoong hiwalay na si Kim Chiu at si Xian Lim,” he said.

“Hindi lang maamin ni Kim Chiu kasi nga pino-proseso pa [niya]. At si Xian Lim din, hindi mo rin siya maasahan siyempre na mag-komento or magbigay ng kanyang statement tungkol dito.”

Ogie said that the breakup happened a few months back.

“Ang pagkakaalam ng friend ko ay nauna ang KathNiel [maghiwalay] bago sila,” he said, referring to Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, who recently shocked fans with the news of their split.

“Siguro mga two months na.”

He added that there was no third party involved in the breakup.

“Sabi sa akin ng friend ko, wala naman daw third party. It’s just that parang walang mga plano si Xian sa kanilang 12 years na relationship. Parang hindi niya priority. Parang naghihintay lang si Kim Chiu ng proposal, dahil 12 years na sila, eh,” Ogie said.

“So nung nag-split sila, saka naman natin nababalitaan ‘yung Irish Lee,” he added, referring to the woman who is being dragged into the supposed split.

“Kaya itong December, ‘wag na raw tayo ma-shock kung hindi na natin makita si Xian Lim sa vlog ni Kim. ‘Di ba every Christmas break niya kasama niya si Xian Lim. At isa sa mga araw na ito ay magsasalita na rin finally si Kim Chiu,” Ogie also said.

Kim and Xian have been subject of breakup rumors after eagle-eyed fans noticed that the two no longer share photos of each other on social media. Xian, 34, also wiped traces of their relationship on his YouTube channel just recently.

Earlier, the actress denied the split during a media conference for her hit series Linlang, telling the press, “Grabe! Kayo talaga, baka nalilinlang lang kayo…

“Okay naman po kami ni Xi. Mapanlinlang ang showbiz, pero maayos naman. Masaya naman po,” she clarified.

For his part, Xian urged everyone to be mindful of what they believe and share online in a lengthy statement he posted on Instagram.

“Plenty of hearsay happening right now and I would like to ask everyone to be mindful of what you chose to believe in deceiving headlines and other information used to just pretend to know the whole story for personal gain and traction,” he said.

“I ask you to be mindful of what you share. Leave my family and friends out of this insignificant issue compared to what is happening in the world, our country, or even deep within ourselves,” he wrote, adding, “I am in the entertainment industry but I am not here to entertain. I am here to express, that I am here to breathe life into the characters I play. I am here to tell you a story in whatever shape or form it may be.

“I am not here to explain and satisfy one’s curiosity. I am not here to ask for sympathy and spread hate. That is not who I am,” he added.

Kim and Xian have been together since 2012. However, it was only in 2018 that the actress revealed their dating status in an interview with host Boy Abunda.
