A postman has been caught launching a package 30 feet over someone’s garden gate.
Damien Cooke, from Margate, Kent, received a notification on his mobile from Ring.com on Thursday morning (10 September) and saw someone approaching his house.
But the 49-year-old was utterly disgusted when he watched as the Royal Mail worker turned into an ‘Olympian’ and threw his parcel over the gate.

Speaking about the bizarre incident, Damien joked: “It was the best throw I’ve ever seen. He was like [former Olympic shot putter] Geoff Capes, it must have gone about 30ft.”
Damien said he was a bit disappointed that the postie didn’t ring his bell, as he could have let him inside to drop the package off, neatly, or, he could have placed it carefully over the gate like he says other delivery workers have done in the past.
He said the parcel contained cosmetics for his wife and he has since contacted Royal Mail about the incident.
The businessman said: “It had a few dents in it, but luckily nothing was broken.

“The slightly frustrating thing for me is it gives me a notification when someone is there.
“But he didn’t even ring the intercom. He just threw it. He could have just placed it over the fence.
“I did email Royal Mail but I do not hold up much hope.

“I just want them to do that next time. And I don’t want anyone to lose their jobs, particularly in this climate.”

Adding: “I found it quite funny, but my wife didn’t because it was her parcel.”
He posted the video on Facebook and said: “Had a home delivery today from Royal Mail.
“I’d not pay for Airmail but the delivery driver included it for free.

Commenting on the post, one friend said: “He’ll blame Covid mate, social distancing.”
A second quipped: “Sign him up for the England cricket team.”

A Royal Mail spokesperson told LADbible: “All items of mail are important to Royal Mail. We expect the highest standards of behaviour of all our colleagues at all times.
“The vast majority of our postmen and postwomen are dedicated to delivering the UK’s mail safely and efficiently. They have played a crucial role in keeping the UK connected during the coronavirus crisis. We apologise for this incident and are looking into it.”
It’s safe to say this fella didn’t have as good an aim as the postal worker who managed to lob someone’s post through an open upstairs window.
Laura Chaisty, 27, came home to find a note from a Royal Mail worker that explained they’d tried to deliver a parcel while she was out.
But rather than leaving it with a neighbour, they’d decided to pop the parcel somewhere much harder to reach.
The note read: “Your top window was wide open, I threw it in there.”
Now, we don’t condone throwing anyone’s parcels, but credit where credit’s due.
