Sharon Cuneta became sentimental as she and former senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan marked their 28th wedding anniversary, saying their marriage is “worth fighting for” despite the “turbulence.”
On her Instagram account on Sunday, April 28, Cuneta referred to Pangilinan as her “number one fan,” and the “best husband” as they celebrated the milestone in their marriage.
“Happy 28th wedding anniversary to my ‘Sutart,’ ‘neybor,’ ‘playmate,’ number 1 fan, cheerleader — the best Dad to our children and the best husband,” she said in the caption of her post.
Without disclosing anything in particular, Cuneta is glad that she and Pangilinan know their marriage is “worth fighting for” despite going through “some turbulences” in the past.
“Though we’ve experienced some ‘turbulence’ in our marriage, and it hasn’t always been easy being married to each other, we both know that WE are always worth fighting for,” she said. “Thank you for loving me, loving us the way you do. I love you so very much.”
Reports of Cuneta and Pangilinan’s relationship going sour made waves after the singer-actress made cryptic posts on social media, and uploading a photo with the former senator’s head cropped.
Cuneta then clarified in March that they indeed had problems in their marriage, but eventually resolved them.
