To clean a thermos, don't just use dishwashing liquid
We often use thermos bottles to make drinks such as coffee, soft drinks, filtered water, tea, etc. In addition, thermos bottles also have many other functions such as helping to keep heat, preserve food, soup, porridge, extremely convenient. However, after a long time of use, dirt (tea residue, dirt...) usually appears inside the thermos bottle.
On the other hand, the mouth of the thermos is relatively small, which is very inconvenient to clean, especially in the corners under the neck and bottom of the thermos. If you only use dishwashing liquid to clean the thermos, you may not be able to completely clean the stains because you cannot reach deep into the bottom of the thermos to scrub. Today we will share with you a simple method to help clean the thermos easily and quickly. Please refer to our article below for detailed instructions.
Method of cleaning the thermos
1. Preparation:
- White vinegar
- Baking soda
- Rice
- White salt
2. How to do:
First, we pour an appropriate amount of white vinegar into the thermos. White vinegar is acidic, so it has a good antibacterial effect and can soften some dirt, making cleaning much more convenient.
After pouring in white vinegar, add a spoonful of baking soda. Baking soda is an ingredient commonly used in the food, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries. With its high alkalinity and moisture absorption, baking soda is an indispensable product in the kitchen and a great assistant in cleaning the house.
Next, add a spoonful of salt to it.
Then pour a little water into the bottle to dilute it, the amount of water is about half the bottle.
Close the lid of the thermos, shake well until the ingredients inside are completely dissolved, then leave it for about ten minutes for the solution to soften the dirt inside.
After ten minutes, open the lid and pour a small amount of rice into it.
Continue to close the lid and shake for a while, about two minutes. When shaking, the rice inside will hit the inside of the cup, or touch the stains in the cup, the friction inside the cup will cause the dirt inside to come off. Moreover, the size of the rice grains is relatively small, so it can clean all parts of the thermos. If the bottle is not clean enough, shake it a few more times until it meets the requirements. After this simple treatment, the thermos will be completely clean, including stubborn stains such as tea residue.
Finally, you pour out all the things in the thermos. Add clean water to rinse and clean the rice grains in the cup. The result after performing this method, the inside of the thermos after washing will be as clean as new.
