4 reasons why rice cookers are prone to explosion

1. Do not dry the pot core before putting it in the pot

Water is the enemy of electrical appliances and rice cookers are no exception. When the pot is wet, put it in the pot and plug it in to operate. This will cause the power to be short-circuited and the bottom relay to fail. This will cause electrical leakage, leading to short circuits and burning of the pot. Therefore, although it is a small operation, do not forget to dry the pot before cooking!

2. Plug the rice cooker into the same outlet as high-power devices

Plug the pot into the same outlet as other high-power electrical appliances when operating. Such as microwave ovens, ovens, refrigerators, electric stoves, etc. This will lead to power overload, electrical contact between devices. And cause short circuits or explosions which are very dangerous. To be safe, you should plug rice into a separate outlet only. Do not plug it into other devices.

3. Make the heating plate or the electric contact part of the pot wet

The electric contact part and the heating plate are responsible for transmitting electricity and generating heat in the cooking function of the pot. Because the part is located at the bottom of the rice cooker, if you are not careful, you can easily get it wet or make food stick to it. This causes a very high risk of short circuit and explosion of the rice cooker. So before plugging it in, you need to carefully check this part to see if it is wet or sticky.

4. Leave the rice cooker in a humid area or near heat-generating devices

Moisture causes the pot to quickly break down, leak electricity or accumulate electricity. Meanwhile, high-heat generating devices such as gas stoves, microwave ovens, heating fans, etc. will cause the pot to easily explode due to contact with high temperatures, which can be dangerous for the user. Therefore, do not be subjective when arranging the rice cooker, make sure that the device is placed in a dry place, away from heat-generating devices.
