This afternoon (November 10), Mr. Nguyen Van Huong, Head of the Weather Forecast Department, National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, said that there are 3 active storms in the Pacific Ocean.
The first is storm No. 7 Yinxing in the East Sea of ββVietnam, followed by storm Toraji in the East of the Philippines, and another one offshore in the northwest Pacific Ocean (storm Man-yi).
In addition, there is a tropical depression between the two storms Toraji and Man-yi.
According to Mr. Huong, the 3 storms and 1 tropical depression are located on the tropical convergence zone with an axis passing through the northern region of the East Sea.

Tropical depressions or storms forming on the tropical convergence zone often move along this axis. That explains why the East Sea will continuously welcome tropical cyclones in the coming time.
Specifically, storm No. 7 is active, after about 24-48 hours will be storm No. 8 and the possibility of storm No. 9 appearing in the coming time cannot be ruled out.
Mr. Huong commented that storm Toraji is likely to move into the East Sea from the evening to tomorrow night (November 11).
Experts also explained that the western Pacific Ocean is hot and humid, providing very good energy to nurture storms, vortices, and low pressure, thus forming the current chain of storms.
It is further forecasted that in November and December, the above sea area will still be very warm, so the possibility of forming tropical depressions and storms is very high. In addition, according to the assessment, La Nina is not strong yet (only above neutral). It is forecasted that when this phenomenon is strong, there will be more tropical depressions and storms.
With the continuous occurrence of storms, the dangerous weather in the North and Central East Sea areas has strong winds, high waves and rough seas for a long time.
In addition to the storms, in the next 5-10 days, there will also be a strong Northeast monsoon, which will also contribute to strong winds and strong waves at sea.
In the evening and at night, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms.
