3. Could It Be PCOS?
One of the most common medical conditions associated with excessive facial hair is polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
Women with PCOS may also experience:
- Irregular menstrual periods.
- Acne.
- Weight gain.
- Difficulty becoming pregnant.
- Increased body or facial hair.
Not every woman with chin hair has PCOS, but persistent or rapidly increasing facial hair may warrant medical evaluation.
