Comedianne AiAi delas Alas confirmed Monday that she and her husband Gerald Sibayan have parted ways.

In an interview on with Boy Abunda, delas Alas said that the split happened last October, citing reasons about having a kid.

"We broke up. It was last month. I just can't forget it. October 14, he chatted, it was early in the morning in the Philippines. That's it. He said he wanted to have children and he wasn't happy anymore," delas Alas said in an interview in "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda."

"So I'm a little confused and shocked, and why now? Why now? I wish you had at least waited for me to come home to America," she added.

She felt like the conversation was a done deal and that they will not get back together again.

"It's not (necessary), because our messages seem like there's nothing more to talk about because he seems to have said that this is my definite decision," she said.

Delas Alas said that they have tried in vitro fertilization (IVF) but failed multiple times.

"I told him, when we get money, I would surprise him by placing the baby so that we can have a baby. Maybe that's what triggered him that he didn't want a surprise that I would give him a baby, she said.

Asked about a possible third party, the comedian said: "Ah, as a wife, aren't wives what they are, they are strong. I feel it, there is. I feel it."

"It doesn't matter if there is or not, because when he said that he was firm on the decision, I won't have anything to fight for, right? "When I fought, I pretended to stay, as if I knew what the ending would be," delas Alas said.

"My dignity, my self-worth, that's going to disappear. I'm going to live because I know that it will happen again in 2019, what is he? He cheated in 2019," she added.

While shocked, Delas Alas admitted that she has prepared herself for this moment to happen.

"Actually, when I married Gerald, I prepared myself for this situation. Because I know that Gerald is still young, he might change his mind, but you know, I hope not. I hope not," the comedian said.

"I really hope that there is forever. I really hope that the Lord will give me the opportunity to have a good marriage. So I was surprised, ah, it's now. I thought he was 35," she added.

Delas Alas hopes for her former husband's happiness: "I hope that I haven't given you the happiness you are looking for, I hope you get it."

"Your child you are asking for, I hope you have a healthy child and I wish you well because in the ten years we have been together, in fairness to you, you have been a good husband," she said.

"And maybe that's how life really is. I just hope you can be happy. I wish you all the happiness you're looking for."

The comedianne added that she's still in the moment of processing things.

"Your forgiveness is easy to say. But I want you to forgive him, really completely in my heart. Because right now at this point, it's still in the process, I'm just processing it all," she said.

After three years of being in a relationship, delas Alas and Sibayan got married in 2017.
