For several seconds, no one moved. The small red light above the hospital-suite doors continued to blink, quietly recording Isabella’s fading confidence.
Marcus kept one arm around Khloe’s shoulders. His other hand rested protectively over hers as she held her stomach. “Marcus,” Khloe whispered, her voice unsteady. “Something doesn’t feel right.” Every trace of anger disappeared from his face as he carefully lifted her into his arms.
“Call Dr. Bennett,” he ordered the nurse. Isabella took one step backward. “This is ridiculous,” she said. “She slipped. You saw the floor. Those heels are impossible to walk in.”
Marcus turned toward her, his voice cold. “I saw you standing over my wife.” When Isabella challenged him, claiming he didn’t see what happened before, he replied firmly, “No. But the camera did.”
As security moved to detain Isabella, she grew desperate: “You’re choosing her after everything I’ve done for you?” The question left a chilling silence in the room.

While Dr. Bennett tended to Khloe—confirming the baby was safe but requiring strict observation—Khloe pressed Marcus about why Isabella was at the gala. Marcus admitted his uncle, Victor Thorne, had invited her to facilitate a business merger. It was revealed that Marcus had a past engagement with Isabella, one he thought he had successfully left behind.
The situation escalated when the security director revealed the footage. Not only did it confirm Isabella had intentionally shoved Khloe, but a second video showed Victor’s private assistant tampering with Khloe’s tea earlier that evening.
