Ingredients (Serves 1–2)

Smoothie base

  • 1 ripe banana (frozen, sliced)

  • 120 g (1 cup) frozen blueberries

  • 120 g (½ cup) frozen mango or pineapple (for the yellow swirl)

  • 120–180 ml (½–¾ cup) coconut milk or almond milk (adjust for thickness)

  • 2 tablespoons Greek yogurt or coconut yogurt

  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Toppings

  • Fresh banana slices

  • Fresh blueberries

  • Edible flowers (optional, for decoration)

  • Optional add-ons: chia seeds, shredded coconut, granola


Instructions

1. Prepare the purple smoothie

  • In a blender, add the frozen banana, frozen blueberries, yogurt, and about ½ cup of milk.

  • Blend until very thick and smooth.

  • Add milk gradually if needed—aim for a spoonable, ice-cream-like texture.

  • Set aside.

2. Prepare the yellow smoothie

  • Rinse the blender quickly.

  • Add frozen mango (or pineapple), a small splash of milk, and honey if desired.

  • Blend until thick and creamy, similar in consistency to the blueberry mixture.

3. Create the swirl

  • Spoon the blueberry smoothie into a bowl, spreading it evenly.

  • Add spoonfuls of the mango smoothie on top.

  • Use the back of a spoon or a toothpick to gently swirl the two colors together for a marbled effect.

4. Add toppings

  • Arrange banana slices in a line across the bowl.

  • Add fresh blueberries on the side.

  • Garnish with edible flowers or seeds if using.

5. Serve

  • Serve immediately while cold and thick.

  • Eat with a spoon and enjoy the creamy texture.

  • Use frozen fruit only for the best thick consistency.

  • Do not over-blend; stop as soon as smooth to keep the bowl thick.

  • For a vegan version, use plant-based yogurt and maple syrup.
