One of the most popular romcom K-dramas is Business Proposal. With Ahn Hyo-Seop, Kim Se-Jeong, Seol In-Ah, and Kim Min-Gue as the lead cast, the series is quite fun to watch. The storyline revolves around an arrogant and workaholic CEO of a billion-dollar company GoFood, Kang Tae-Mo (Ahn Hyo-Seop), and a passionate food researcher of the same company, Shin Ha-Ri (Kim Se-Jeong). While everything starts with little lies and fakeness, Tae-Mo and Ha-Ri fall for each other in the process.

As the story unfolds, Kang Tae-Mo’s grandfather makes him go on a blind date with Marine Group’s Jin Yeong-Seo (Seol In-Ah). Yeong-Seo doesn’t want to marry anyone for economic reasons. She then asks her best friend, Shin Ha-Ri to go on the date in disguise as her. That’s how Tae-Mo and Ha-Ri meet each other. Slowly, their life get intertwined being in the same office. The funny exchanges and heart-fluttering scenes between them are enough to give you butterflies in your stomach.

Business Proposal: Does it have a happy or a sad ending?

Spoilers ahead. The final episode of Business Proposal begins when Kang Tae-Mo and Shin Ha-Ri can be seen in their bedroom having a steamy night. Tae-Mo even makes breakfast for Ha-Ri and later goes to her house to drop her off. But as he gets caught by her mother, Ha-Ri’s family finally sits face-to-face with Tae-Mo after some beating. He further discloses his intention of dating Shin Ha-Ri and says he wants to marry her. Everyone approves and the two of them get the blessings.

Now, it’s time for Shin Ha-Ri (Kim Se-Jeong) to win over Kang Tae-Mo’s grandfather who remains very much against their relationship. So much so that he even asks Ha-Ri to break up with him, which she politely but bravely rejects. However, when his grandfather faked his illness and got admitted to the hospital it was Ha-Ri takes care of him. She wins him over with her charisma and cuteness. But because of his heart issues, Kang Tae-Mo has to go to the US to give his grandfather the best treatment.

Shin Ha-Ri waits for him in Korea till the time he returns. However, soon rumors about Kang Tae-Mo’s dating life surfaces. Ha-Ri takes out her luggage and tries to get in a taxi to go to the US when she sees him in front of her. He comes back with a ring for her and proposes her. On the other hand, in turn of events, Jin Yeong-Seo and Kang Tae-Mo’s secretary Cha Sung-Hoon (Kim Min-Gue) get into a relationship. They even get engaged by the end of the drama. Well, Business Proposal has a heartwarming happy ending for both of the couples in the end.

Seol In-Ah and Kim Min-Gue’s chemistry was equally spicy as Ahn Hyo-Seop and Kim Se-Jeong on-screen. The viewers got mushy while watching the drama for 16 episodes. Fans loved their camaraderie so much that a lot of them started shipping the actors to be dating in real life.
