Pork is a popular food ingredient in our daily life. Pork is rich in nutrients and has a delicious flavor that most people love. Nowadays, modern life makes us often have to store food for a long time. And pork is one of the ingredients that housewives put on the list of "freezer storage" the most. However, preserving pork properly is a problem that many people often encounter. Many women still apply incorrect preservation methods, causing pork to spoil easily and have a poor quality taste.

The necessary ingredients for you to be able to preserve pork well are: White wine (rice wine) with high alcohol concentration, cooking oil, food wrap (choose food wrap made from PE (Polyethylene) material because there is no risk of using toxic chemical additives (DEHA), safe for health), zip bag.

Specific steps

1. Prepare pork

The pork you use to preserve in the freezer should be noted to choose fresh meat - the newly slaughtered the better. Then you cut the pork into pieces of appropriate weight and size. Depending on personal preference, you cut into long strips or squares as desired.

2. Disinfect

Pour an appropriate amount of high-alcohol alcohol into a small bowl. Use a brush to apply a layer of alcohol to all surfaces of each piece of pork to ensure complete coverage. The purpose of this is to effectively disinfect the pork and prevent bacteria from entering. White wine can form an effective protective layer on the surface of the pork to prevent bacteria from entering.

3. Lock in moisture and preserve freshness

Prepare another small bowl, pour in an appropriate amount of cooking oil. Next, use a brush to spread a layer of cooking oil over all surfaces of each piece of pork. Cooking oil can effectively lock in moisture inside. This helps prevent the pork from losing water, spoiling, and prolonging the preservation time.

4. Wrap to preserve freshness

Spread plastic wrap on a flat surface and place each piece of meat coated with wine and cooking oil. Wrap each piece of pork tightly with plastic wrap. While wrapping, try to use your hands to press as much air as possible out of the plastic wrap to create a sealed environment. This way, the pork will be preserved longer and taste fresher.

5. Sealed storage

Put the wrapped pork in a zip bag, then zip the bag tightly. Note that you should try to release all the air inside the zip bag to ensure that the bag is sealed, no air gets in and affects the preservation effect. Or you can use aluminum foil to wrap the pork pieces. Aluminum foil has the effect of preventing moisture from the refrigerator from penetrating the pork.

6. Freezing

After putting the pork in sealed bags, you put it in the freezer/refrigerator. The freezing temperature can effectively maintain the freshness of the meat and extend the storage time. You can adjust the temperature in the freezer to -18 degrees Celsius.

Compared to directly freezing pork in the refrigerator, the meat preservation method just presented will be more "troublesome" but the preservation time is much longer. This way, pork can be preserved for a long time without losing its flavor and freshness. This method not only helps your refrigerator freezer to be more organized but also helps preserve pork without worrying about spoilage or loss of flavor. Even if preserved for a whole year, the meat still has the same flavor as newly purchased pork and still retains its original texture.
