At the WCF World Show 2024 held in Ho Chi Minh City on November 3, Cindy Idrine, an 11-month-old Persian cat from Thailand, was named the top feline beauty, competing among 150 cats from across Southeast Asia and a guest group from China. This year’s event, organized by the Vietnamese Animal Protection Association and Vietnam Cat Club, brought together the best cats from Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and China, aiming to award the title of "International Champion."
In its fifth and largest edition, the competition emphasized elevating the profile of professional cat breeding in Southeast Asia and promoting love for animals. “This event aims to raise awareness about the love and care for animals in the community," shared Mr. Nguyen Ngoc My, Chairman of the Vietnamese Animal Protection Association.
Each cat underwent four rounds of evaluation under the discerning eyes of judges from Germany, Latvia, and the Netherlands. Cats were judged based on their conformity to the World Cat Federation standards, considering characteristics like head shape, body structure, and coat quality. Cats that exhibited friendly and interactive behavior with humans scored higher.
The event featured a diverse range of breeds, including Ragdoll, Golden, Bengal, Selkirk, Munchkin, Maine Coon, and the Sphynx. Owners had meticulously prepared their cats through strict grooming regimens. Besides crowning Cindy as the ultimate champion, awards were also given in categories for short, long, and medium-haired cats and sterilized felines.

Cindy Idrine’s victory brings pride to her owner, Mr. Ploymada Laosamathikul of Thailand, showcasing the exceptional beauty and care invested in this long-haired Persian queen.
