Creamy Banana Colada Smoothie




A tropical, creamy smoothie inspired by the classic piña colada - perfect for breakfast, a post-workout drink, or a refreshing afternoon treat.

Ingredients (Serves 1–2)

  • 1 ripe banana (frozen for extra creaminess)

  • ½ cup pineapple chunks (fresh or frozen)

  • ½ cup coconut milk (full-fat for a richer taste)

  • ¼ cup Greek yogurt or coconut yogurt (optional, for extra creaminess)

  • ½ cup ice cubes (adjust as needed)

  • 1–2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (optional)

  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

  • A pinch of shredded coconut (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Add the banana, pineapple chunks, and coconut milk to a blender.

  2. Add Greek yogurt (if using), ice cubes, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract.

  3. Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy.

  4. Taste and adjust sweetness or thickness by adding more honey or ice if needed.

  5. Pour into a glass and garnish with shredded coconut if desired.

Tips

  • For a dairy-free version, use coconut yogurt or skip the yogurt entirely.

  • Add a scoop of protein powder to turn it into a filling meal replacement.

  • For a lighter texture, replace half of the coconut milk with coconut water.
