Daesung holds his first fan day in Ho Chi Minh City on July 6
“A piece” of BIGBANG is currently focusing on his own career. Daesung releases new music, diligently meets fans all over Asia in memorable fan days. Right from the announcement of the official D's Road event ” Landing in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnamese VIPs were “restless”, ready to compete for tickets on the BTC fanpage to win the opportunity to interact with Daesung right at home.
Before Daesung's first fan day in Vietnam, we had the opportunity to chat with the male idol. He openly shared the reason for choosing Ho Chi Minh City as one of the important destinations in the D's Road Asia tour: “I'm really excited and looking forward to meeting the fans in Vietnam again. I still remember the warm feeling in the cheers and passionate support of you guys when performing with BIGBANG in Vietnam during the previous tour.”
To prepare for the Vietnamese fan reunion event, Daesung meticulously prepared explosive stages and a relaxed spirit. He wants Vietnamese fans to know Daesung as an “independent artist” in many aspects, more deeply. “It's been a long time since I had the opportunity to meet and interact with fans in Vietnam. Therefore, through D's Tour, I want to create a closer connection with fans as well as create fun and memorable moments with them. Hopefully through this event, everyone will have the opportunity to better understand Daesung, love and accept me as a solo artist.”
It's been nearly a decade since Daesung's first return to Vietnam. At that time, the male idol was still promoting with BIGBANG. When he returned in a different capacity, Daesung's emotions also changed. Daesung couldn't hide his nervousness but no less excitement. He shows a special love for passionate fans in Vietnam.
“The feeling of returning to Vietnam as a solo artist is filled with nervousness but no less excitement, looking forward to feeling the warm atmosphere of this event. Hopefully after this event, I will have more opportunities to come back and meet fans in Vietnam.”Daesung confided.
Famous throughout Asia not only because he is a “piece” of BIGBANG, Daesung left a deep impression in the hearts of audiences because of his image as a talented artist, golden voice of Kpop and lively and humorous personality. Vietnam is no exception. Daesung's solo songs are equally well received as the iconic BIGBANG “hits”. No Kpop fan is unfamiliar with Daesung and the image of “lady Smell” has been viral for more than 10 years.
Facing his popularity in Vietnam, Daesung himself was surprised: “Is that the “smell~” part in the parody video? I feel very happy to know that it's not just audiences in Korea who love this image. If you have the chance, would you like to see the real image of Mrs. Smell in real life? For me, just having fans know and remember Daesung in their minds is a great honor. I think the songs that Vietnamese audiences love the most are probably Wings and Look at Me, Gwisun.”
Talking about future plans, Daesung was sincere “I feel the greatest happiness in my singing career is having the opportunity to stand on stage and perform. Therefore, after this Fan Meeting, I want to hold more performances, meet more fans and create more memorable memories in the future.”
Entering chapter two of his career, Daesung focuses on bringing new and more diverse musical experiences to the fans who have been with him for nearly 20 years. He said he does not fix himself in a certain image but aims to organize many performances. Here, Daesung will entertain fans with wonderful performances that will make the audience exclaim “The show was so interesting, I had to go all the way!”.
