A heartbreaking case has sparked concern online after a 28-year-old man reportedly died following a meal involving unsafe chicken. Doctors are now warning the public about risky food habits that many people still overlook in everyday life.
According to reports shared by local media, the young man had returned home to visit his family when they prepared a chicken meal using a bird that had appeared weak and sick for several days. Family members were reportedly concerned that the chicken might not have been healthy, but it was cooked anyway instead of being thrown away.
Shortly after the meal, the man began experiencing symptoms including fever, stomach pain, fatigue, headaches, and nausea. At first, he believed it was only a minor illness and attempted to recover at home with over-the-counter medicine.
However, his condition quickly worsened.
When he was finally taken to the hospital, doctors reportedly discovered severe complications affecting his liver and other organs. Despite emergency treatment, the 28-year-old did not survive.
Medical experts say the case highlights the serious dangers linked to consuming contaminated or unsafe poultry. Raw or undercooked chicken can carry harmful bacteria such as Salmonella and Campylobacter, both of which may cause severe food poisoning and life-threatening infections in some cases.
Doctors warn that several common habits may increase the risk of dangerous infections, including:
Health professionals emphasize that chicken should always be cooked completely before consumption, and any poultry showing signs of illness should never be eaten.
Experts also advise seeking medical attention immediately if symptoms such as high fever, severe stomach pain, vomiting, persistent diarrhea, extreme fatigue, or yellowing of the skin appear after eating poultry.
While severe outcomes are considered uncommon, doctors say this tragic incident serves as an important reminder that food safety should never be taken lightly.
