Honey Garlic Shrimp & Broccoli Rice Bowl

Ingredients
For the Shrimp

1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 tbsp olive oil
-
Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the Sauce
-
3 tbsp honey
-
3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
-
1 tbsp oyster sauce
-
4 garlic cloves, minced
-
1 tsp grated fresh ginger
-
1 tsp sesame oil
-
1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
-
½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Vegetables
-
2 cups broccoli florets
-
1 red bell pepper, sliced
-
2 green onions, sliced
-
2 tbsp water
For Serving
-
3 cups cooked jasmine rice
-
Sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions

Step 1 – Make the Sauce
In a bowl, whisk together:

Honey
-
Soy sauce
-
Oyster sauce
-
Garlic
-
Ginger
-
Sesame oil
-
Red pepper flakes (if using)
Set aside.
Step 2 – Cook the Shrimp
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Season shrimp lightly with salt and pepper.
Cook for 1½–2 minutes per side until pink and just cooked through.
Transfer to a plate.
Step 3 – Cook the Vegetables
Using the same skillet:

Add broccoli and bell pepper.

Pour in 2 tablespoons of water.

Cover and steam for 2–3 minutes until crisp-tender.
Step 4 – Combine
Return the shrimp to the skillet.
Pour in the prepared sauce.
Stir well to coat everything evenly.
Add the cornstarch slurry and cook for 1–2 minutes until the sauce becomes glossy and slightly thickened.
Fold in the sliced green onions.
Step 5 – Serve
Divide the cooked jasmine rice among serving bowls.
Top with the honey garlic shrimp and vegetables.
Drizzle with the remaining sauce from the skillet.

Serve immediately.
