How to Remove Chewing Gum from Clothes
Chewing gum stuck to clothes is one of the most common annoyances we encounter, but it's no longer a problem if you know the tips below.

Use soap or toothpaste

Apply soap or toothpaste to the gum stains, use a brush to gently rub them into small pieces. After brushing, scrape the gum off the clothes, adding a little liquid detergent if the gum is stubborn.

If soap doesn't work, you can make your own cleaning solution. Combine 1/4 cup vegetable glycerine, 1/4 cup water, a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide, 1/4 cup vegetable soap and 40 drops of lemon essential oil. Mix the solution well, pour it over the gum, wait five minutes and then rinse.

Try removing chewing gum with food

The best cleaning agent for gum stains on clothes is sometimes chewing gum itself. Chew some more gum until it forms a gooey substance, then place it on top of the old gum. Make sure the new gum doesn’t stick to the fabric, so as not to make things worse. Then gently pull both off the garment.

If this doesn’t work, try separating them from the garment by coating the gum with peanut butter. Wait a few minutes, then pry the gum off with a plastic stick, straight piece of wood, or a butter knife.
