Jennifer Lopez's sister Lynda is spending quality time with her step-niece, Violet Affleck. The journalist shared a sweet snap of them walking around Yale's campus together following the singer's public divorce from Ben Affleck

On Sunday, Nov. 3, the journalist, 53, shared a few photos on after she visited the college student, 18, at Yale University. In one sweet photo, the two smile together as Violet snaps a selfie, wearing a white Patagonia puffer jacket.

Lynda can be seen placing a hand on Violet's shoulder, smiling as the duo poses together. The author also included a few other photos around campus, showcasing the fall leaves. "New Haven with my favorite Yalie! ?," Lynda wrote in her caption.

Lopez filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court and listed April 26, 2024, as the date of separation.

At the time, a source told PEOPLE that her kids and Affleck's kids were the couple's top priority.

"She tried really hard to make things work, and is heartbroken," the source said. “The kids are a top priority, as they always have been.”

In July, Lopez was photographed n Southampton. 

Although there was relationship at the time, Lopez and Violet "really enjoy each other's company," a source told PEOPLE. "They both seem so happy to be spending this time together, and are just enjoying the moment," the insider added.

Earlier that month, Lopez shared a short video on her Instagram Stories of her and Violet having could be seen sitting in the back of the car peering out of the window, while Lopez beamed in the front seat with the sunroof open.
