Slice a few thin rounds for garnish.
-
Squeeze ½–1 lime (about 20–25 ml juice) into a tall glass.
Step 2: Muddle Mint
-
Add mint leaves and sugar to the glass with lime juice.
-
Gently muddle (press lightly) to release mint aroma.
Do not crush too hard or the mint will taste bitter.
Step 3: Add Ice
-
Fill the glass completely with ice.
-
Press lightly once to combine flavors.
Step 4: Top with Soda
-
Pour sparkling water slowly over the ice.
-
Stir gently from bottom to top.
Step 5: Garnish & Serve
-
Garnish with lime slices and a fresh mint sprig.
-
Serve immediately while cold and fizzy.
Optional Variations
-
Sweeter: add more sugar or simple syrup.
-
Zesty: add lime zest on top.
-
Alcoholic Mojito: add 45 ml white rum before adding ice.
Tips
-
Use fresh lime only—bottled juice dulls the flavor.
-
Light muddling keeps the drink clean and refreshing.
-
Best served immediately.
