Tanduay Distillers Inc. has unveiled its newest calendar girl.
Kim Chiu is the 2025 calendar girl for the liquor brand, the brand announced at a launch held at the Lucio Tan Jr. Center in Pasay on Nov. 20.
The actress came out donning a matching white bralette top and skirt with knee-high boots with heels. Like a Victoria's Secret model, she also wore wings as she stomped the runway to the tune of Lisa's New Woman.
"My initial reaction, of course, [was] shocked. I asked myself if I was ready to do this. A lot of people know me since Pinoy Big Brother tapos I grew up in front of their eyes, and it's about time na rin for me to do this," she told members of the media.
"I feel empowered. I feel grateful to be Tanduay Calendar Girl for 2025 kasi I feel like this is such a powerful moment for me," Kim said, adding that early in her career, she didn't think would be passing such a milestone.
"I believe this is a testament to how much I've grown and how far I've come not only as an artist, as an individual but most especially as a woman."
The actress added that it took preparing mentally more than physically for her to be a calendar girl.
"Am I really doing this? Am I a woman now?" she shared. "I'm very much ready now... I'm very happy with the outcome... Sobrang worth it."
In 2024, Kim starred in the Philippine adaptation of What's Wrong With Secretary Kim alongside Paulo Avelino and was named Outstanding Asian Star at this year's Seoul International Drama Awards for her performance in the series Linlang.
In the previous year, Julia Barretto was Tanduay's 2024 calendar girl.
