Many people have refrigerators for years but don’t know this simple temperature hack
Adjustment buttons on the refrigerator
Temp.Control temperature control button
The Temp.Control button is usually a round knob and has many levels for users to adjust:
The higher the number (towards MAX), the colder the refrigerator will be (both the freezer and the refrigerator compartment), the refrigerator will operate at a higher capacity.
The lower the number (towards MIN), the higher the temperature will be, the less cold the refrigerator will be, the refrigerator will operate at a lower capacity. This Temp.Control button is usually located in the refrigerator compartment, but it has the effect of adjusting the temperature for the entire refrigerator (including the freezer and the refrigerator compartment).
Freezer Temp Control button
Another adjustment button in the refrigerator that you need to pay attention to is the Freezer Temp Control button. This button is usually located in the freezer compartment, has the form of a slider, and helps adjust the amount of cold air blowing into both the freezer and the refrigerator compartment.
This button has the effect of adjusting the fan in the refrigerator. This fan is responsible for taking cold air from the evaporator and blowing it into both the freezer and the refrigerator compartments. Therefore, if you prioritize the wind for this compartment, the other compartment will be reduced.
When you pull the slider towards “MAX”: the fan will blow more cold air into the freezer compartment, thereby making the freezer colder, the food is frozen better. Therefore, the amount of wind under the refrigerator compartment will be minimized.
When you pull the slider towards “MIN”: limit the amount of fan wind into the freezer compartment. Therefore, the amount of wind will automatically circulate more to the refrigerator compartment.
Note that depending on the manufacturer's design, the location of the two refrigerator temperature controllers will be different. Some models will arrange the control panels for both compartments in the same place. Some modern refrigerators use electronic control panels, so the temperature controllers for the evaporator and freezer compartments will often be placed right outside the cabinet door. However, in general, the control panels will allow users to adjust the temperature in the refrigerator and freezer compartments separately. Depending on your needs, you can make appropriate adjustments.
