Following the breakthrough of their love team in 'Can't Buy Me Love,' Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings are set to headline an upcoming movie.
Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings teased fans about what they can expect from their upcoming movie. "We're excited about what we're going to do together. That's it! As in it's something really explosive. Look out for it," Maris remarked in an interview with ABS-CBN News. The actress relayed that they have been undergoing workshops in preparation for their roles in the film.
"We also have great preparations. We have workshops...We are excited there. I can say that people loved us as SnoRene,
I feel that people will love us even more with our new characters because they are funny," she relayed. Anthony highlighted that their roles in their new project are far different from the previous characters they portrayed
"It's different. Different people, different characters. Excited. We're dedicated," Anthony pointed out. Maris added: "It is something exciting. Really different. Different from SnoRene." Reflecting on the blessings that came their way since their love team dubbed as "MaThon" was formed in Can't Buy Me Love, Maris remarked that she is very grateful for the opportunities. "We are grateful. We are both surprised by those who come. Even I can't believe the blessings. More than pressured, excited. Focused on [the] project and focused on work.

It was in March when Maris and Anthony first teased about their new project when they posted their photo with director JP Laxamana on social media. "After 8 years! I will work with you again," the director commented on Maris' Instagram post at that time. Meanwhile, back in June, Anthony shared that they had been undergoing workshops for their new project.
"I just took a nap, I'm awake again ? how are you? We're just rehearsing first ??," he posted. During the finale press conference of Can't Buy Me Love back in April, Maris and Anthony had nothing but good words for each other on working together for the first time. Maris remarked: "It's great to work with [Anthony]. The scene is great and I finally found a co-star who is very well-connected and we know where we want to take the scene.
We are just having fun where we are will take the scene." Anthony was equally grateful for being paired with Maris whom he described as very professional. Are Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings shooting a new project?
"I'm also thankful of course to Maris because Maris is what he is,
he's a professional in his work and I'm the same of course and that's where we respect each other and in our personal lives," he added. Maris shared that her love team with Anthony in Can't Buy Me Love was actually unplanned. "Actually until now I can't believe it because it was all unplanned.
We just had a scene where I stepped on poop and I was happy because you don't always have a partner to work with and your humor and I'm very happy with the support of people,
" Maris said in a past interview with ABS-CBN News. Amid the breakthrough success of her onscreen pairing with Anthony, Maris highlighted that she is not pressured to be part of a love team. "I don't feel any pressure, I'm not under pressure, that I'll be happy every time we have scenes with Anthony. It seems very challenging in a good way, that we're better than the last one.
So I'm always looking forward, she stated.
