During a family photo session on election night, President-elect Donald Trump gestured and invited billionaire Elon Musk and his son to join.
In a video posted on YouTube on November 11 by Kai Trump, Donald Trump's granddaughter, titled "Kai Trump's Election Night Vlog," Trump is seen taking photos with family members, including his eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., and his grandchildren.
"We need to take one with Elon and his son too," Trump says in the video, pointing toward Musk and his young son. Trump added that Musk's son, X Æ A-12, aged four, was "beautiful" and "perfect."
Musk then stepped forward with his son in his arms to stand beside Trump’s family. A family photo posted on November 6 by Tiffany Trump, Trump's second daughter, shows Elon Musk and his son standing close to nearly all of Trump’s family members.
The world’s richest man has attended several of Trump’s rallies and founded America PAC, a super PAC supporting the Republican presidential candidate, providing $118 million in funding for the committee.
In his victory speech, Trump praised Elon Musk as a "super genius," applauding SpaceX’s reusable rocket launches and the Starlink satellite network.

Kai, 17, the eldest daughter of Trump Jr. and Trump’s oldest grandchild, made an impression with her speech at the Republican National Convention in July, where she highlighted Trump’s gentle nature and care for his grandchildren.
On November 10, she shared a photo on social media with Musk and X Æ A-12 at a golf course, captioned: "Elon now has the title of 'Uncle,'" showing the close relationship between the President-elect's family and the billionaire.
