Mother-in-Law Sneaks into Daughter-in-Law’s Room Every Night – Her Actions Spark Online Buzz!
Not just once, but some nights, the mother-in-law entered her daughter-in-law's room 3-4 times just to do something for her grandchild.
Recently, a series of clips extracted from a bedroom security camera caused a stir on Douyin. The videos captured the mother-in-law’s nightly actions, which the daughter-in-law later posted on her TikTok account with the caption: “My mother-in-law came into my room again.” The clips quickly garnered hundreds of thousands of views and comments.
Every night, between 11 PM and 2 AM, when the couple was sound asleep, the mother-in-law would enter the room to take care of her infant grandchild, who is under one year old. On some nights, she heard the baby crying and immediately carried the child to the living room or her own room to soothe them.
Other times, she prepared milk and gently woke the baby to feed them. On nights when the baby had a fever, she entered at 2 or 3 AM to check their temperature and monitor their health.
Her actions didn’t stop there, and her care won over many netizens for her respectful and gentle attitude toward her son and daughter-in-law. The mother-in-law moved quietly, carefully ensuring she didn’t wake or criticize the couple for sleeping soundly while the baby needed attention.
Occasionally, she even adjusted her daughter-in-law’s blanket or pillow. “Her actions alone show that this girl married into the right family. What a loving mother-in-law,” one netizen remarked.
This touching story comes from a family of five in Beijing. The couple has two children: their firstborn, born in 2019, and their second, born in 2023. The wife runs a TikTok account dedicated to the siblings’ daily lives, which has attracted over 13,000 followers.
The story has inspired many netizens, especially women who are married or living with their in-laws, to wish for a similar blessing. Many shared feelings of envy or even sadness, saying not every mother-in-law would go to such lengths for their daughter-in-law and grandchild.
“I wish for a mother-in-law like this,” one user commented. Another shared, “My baby cried so much every night during the first three months, but neither my husband nor my mother-in-law ever helped care for them, not even once.”
“This is amazing! Does your family have an unmarried brother or uncle? I’d love to marry into such a family,” joked another.
Many also expressed deep emotion over the grandmother’s love and care for her grandchild and the couple. “Even in the middle of the night, she stays awake, worrying about the baby and making sure her children can rest peacefully,” a netizen wrote.
However, some comments raised concerns, noting that while the grandmother’s dedication is admirable, the couple’s room is a private space, and boundaries should still be respected.
