My Ex comes back on my weeding day

THE MAN WHO RETURNED FROM THE DEAD
رواية غرام العيسي الفصل الثاني والثلاثون 32 بقلم اسماء السيد

The bride was about to say “I do” when the giant wedding screen suddenly turned on by itself.

A man appeared on the screen.

The groom went pale.

The bride dropped her bouquet.

Because the man speaking was supposed to be dead.

 THE WEDDING OF THE YEAR

The Crystal Crown Hotel had never looked more magnificent.

White orchids covered the stage.

Golden chandeliers shimmered above five hundred guests.

Cameras broadcast the ceremony live across the city.

Tonight was the wedding everyone had been waiting for.

Sophia Laurent, daughter of a powerful business family, was marrying Adrian Wolfe, the young CEO of Wolfe Holdings.

To the world, they were the perfect couple.

Elegant.

Successful.

Untouchable.

Only Sophia knew that before Adrian, there had been someone else.

A man named Noah Carter.

The man she once planned to marry.

The man who died one year ago in a car accident.

Or so she had been told.

🕊️ THE CEREMONY

The music softened.

Sophia stood at the altar, her hands trembling slightly beneath her gloves.

The officiant smiled.

“Sophia Laurent, do you take Adrian Wolfe to be your lawfully wedded husband?”

Sophia looked at Adrian.

He gave her a reassuring smile.

She opened her mouth.

“I—”

Suddenly, every light in the ballroom flickered.

The music stopped.

Guests looked around in confusion.

Then the giant LED screen behind the altar came alive.

Static.

A distorted sound.

And then—

Noah’s face appeared.

A collective gasp swept through the hall.

Sophia froze.

Adrian’s smile vanished.

THE MESSAGE FROM THE DEAD

Noah was sitting in a dimly lit room.

He looked thinner, older, exhausted.

But unmistakably alive.

He stared directly into the camera.

“If you’re watching this, Sophia… it means they told you I died.”

The ballroom exploded with whispers.

Sophia took a step back.

“No… no, this can’t be real.”

Noah continued.

“I didn’t leave you. I was taken.”

Adrian’s face turned white.

Sophia turned slowly toward him.

For the first time that night, she saw fear in his eyes.

 THE FIRST TWIST

The video continued.

“The accident was staged. I survived.”

Guests began standing from their seats.

Sophia’s mother covered her mouth.

Noah spoke with difficulty.

“Someone paid to make me disappear before I could expose the truth.”

Sophia whispered,

“What truth?”

On the screen, Noah lowered his eyes.

Then he said:

“Adrian Wolfe murdered his own father.”

The ballroom fell into complete silence.

Adrian shouted,

“Turn it off!”

But the video kept playing.

THE SECRET

Noah held up a small flash drive.

“Mr. Wolfe discovered that Adrian had been stealing money from the company through offshore accounts. The night before he died, he called me for help.”

Sophia stared at Adrian in horror.

“Tell me he’s lying.”

Adrian said nothing.

Noah continued.

“I was supposed to bring these files to the police. I never made it there.”

The screen showed security footage.

Adrian entering his father’s office.

An argument.

A struggle.

Then the footage cut to black.

The guests gasped.

Sophia’s knees nearly gave way.

THE SECOND TWIST

Adrian stepped forward, furious.

“This is fake! He manipulated the footage!”

Then a new voice echoed through the ballroom.

“No, he didn’t.”

Everyone turned.

An elderly man walked slowly down the aisle.

It was Victor Hale, the family lawyer.

He had been sitting quietly among the guests the entire time.

Victor removed his glasses.

“I authenticated those files this morning.”

Adrian stared at him in disbelief.

“You were on my side.”

Victor’s voice was cold.

“I was on your father’s side.”

 THE COLLAPSE

Sophia looked at Adrian, tears filling her eyes.

“Did you really do it?”

Adrian’s calm mask finally cracked.

He grabbed her arm.

“You don’t understand! If my father had exposed me, everything would have been destroyed.”

Sophia pulled away.

“So you destroyed him instead?”

Adrian’s silence was the answer.

The ballroom erupted.

Security guards moved toward him.

Adrian laughed bitterly.

“All of you care about justice now? You only care because you were watching.”

He looked at Sophia.

“And you would have married me without ever knowing who I really was.”

THE FINAL TWIST

Just as security reached him, the ballroom doors opened.

A man stepped inside.

Wet from the rain.

Bruised.

Breathing hard.

Sophia’s heart stopped.

Noah.

Not on the screen.

In the flesh.

The guests stared in disbelief.

Sophia whispered,

“You’re alive…”

Noah nodded slowly.

“I escaped two days ago.”

Adrian lunged toward him, but security restrained him.

Noah looked at Sophia with tears in his eyes.

“I’m sorry I came back like this.”

Sophia burst into tears.

For a moment, neither moved.

Then she ran to him.

And the entire ballroom watched as the bride embraced the man everyone thought was dead.

THE ENDING

Police escorted Adrian out of the hotel.

The wedding flowers remained untouched.

The music never resumed.

Hours later, the ballroom was almost empty.

Sophia stood by the rain-covered window beside Noah.

She looked at the abandoned altar.

“I was five seconds away from marrying him.”

Noah answered quietly,

“Sometimes the truth arrives at the last possible second.”

Sophia looked at him.

“What happens now?”

Noah smiled faintly.

“Now we stop living the story they wrote for us.”

She took his hand.

Outside, the storm finally began to clear.

And behind them, the wedding of the year became the scandal that changed an empire forever.

“The dead man didn’t come back to stop the wedding… he came back to reveal the monster standing at the altar.”
