The first form of men's underwear was a fig leaf used to cover Adam's "thing" in the Garden of Eden. Since he realized his difference from Eve, Adam was "ashamed" and used a leaf to cover that difference. From there, "slip pants" began to be born and developed with a series of new changes and improvements to suit the needs of men.

Ancient loincloths
In the years 3000 BC, the design of the first human "underwear" was loincloths made from rough cloth or animal skin.

The loincloth believed to be the oldest human is that of Otzi the Iceman. In the Otztal Alps glacier located on the border between Austria and Italy, people found his mummy. Otzi the Iceman's body was determined by scientists to have lived in the Bronze Age, around 3300 BC. On the body of Otzi the Iceman, historians discovered that he was wearing clothes made of woven grass and animal skin. From there, it can be determined that the loincloth he wore appeared in the European region from ancient times.

By 1352 BC, loincloths were more commonly used during the reign of Egyptian kings. When scientists excavated King Tut's tomb, they discovered 145 loincloths in the burial objects. In 1979, archaeologists successfully recovered triangular pieces of cloth along with belts. At that time, loincloths were considered a symbol of authority and strength for men.
