Pink dolphins have easily identifiable characteristics: their entire body is pale pink and their beak is long and slightly curved. Adult males are about 320cm long, females are 250cm long. This is a very rare animal with an average lifespan of 40 years.
Pink dolphins are considered the most strange and unique creatures in the world. They are friendly, sensitive and have lived in harmony with humans for centuries. But now, experts say, this animal is facing the risk of extinction in some places.
Pink dolphins are on the IUCN red list. In addition to Ao Phang Nga Bay, they also live in the Gulf of Thailand (Pacific Ocean) and the Andaman Islands (South Asia).
