Roaches are harmful insects that frequently appear in households. However, eliminating them is never simple. Using cockroach-killing chemicals can pose risks to humans. Moreover, cockroaches reproduce quickly and carry intestinal worm eggs, which can trigger allergic reactions, itching, skin inflammation, eyelid irritation, and various respiratory disorders depending on the severity, affecting the health of family members.
Eliminating cockroaches using natural methods is considered safe, effective, and environmentally friendly.
To get rid of cockroaches, you can use a plastic bottle cut in half (cut off the top third and discard the cap). Add some honey or sugar water to the bottom half of the bottle, along with a bit of cooking oil or pork fat.
Insert the mouth of the bottle upside down into the bottom half and secure it with tape if needed. Place this bottle in a kitchen corner or a hidden spot where cockroaches often roam. By the next morning, you’ll find the bottle filled with trapped cockroaches.
This homemade trap works because the sweet scent of sugar water or honey attracts the cockroaches into the bottle. The slippery oil prevents them from climbing out, leaving them trapped inside where they eventually die.
