Driven out by her father and scheming stepfamily, Lena steps into the rain with nothing left but a promise to return stronger than ever.

THE DAY SHE LOST HER HOME

Lena had always believed that losing her mother was the worst thing that could ever happen to her.

She was wrong.

Her mother had been the heart of the family.

After she died, the mansion became quieter.

Her father became distant.

And then, two years later, Richard brought another woman home.

Victoria.

She was elegant, beautiful, and always perfectly composed.

She also had a daughter.

Sophia.

At first, Lena tried to accept them.

She told herself that her father deserved to be happy again.

She even tried to build a relationship with Victoria.

But Victoria never wanted to be her stepmother.

She wanted to become the woman of the house.

And Sophia wanted something even more.

Everything that belonged to Lena.

Her room.

Her mother's jewelry.

Her father's attention.

And eventually—

Her inheritance.

That night, Lena came home later than usual.

She had been working at her father's company all day.

She was tired.

She was thinking about nothing except taking a shower and going to bed.

But the moment she opened the front door, she knew something was wrong.

Her suitcase was sitting beside the entrance.

Lena stopped.

She looked at it for several seconds.

Then she slowly looked toward the living room.

Her father was standing near the fireplace.

Victoria was sitting on the sofa.

Sophia was beside her.

None of them looked surprised to see her.

Lena's heart began beating faster.

"Dad?"

Richard looked at her.

"We need to talk."

Lena walked closer.

She pointed at the suitcase.

"What's that?"

Victoria answered before Richard could.

"Your things."

Lena frowned.

"My things?"

"You won't be staying here anymore."

Lena stared at her.

Then she looked at her father.

"Is this some kind of joke?"

Richard remained silent.

Lena's expression slowly changed.

"Dad?"

Richard finally spoke.

"You need to leave."
