In the second episode of Jeongnyeon, Jeong Nyeon successfully became a member of the Maeranguk Theater thanks to her excellent audition. She reenacted the pain of losing her father and successfully convinced the judges. Moon Ok Kyeong, a famous actress in the theater troupe, continued to help Jeong Nyeon, showing everyone that Jeong Nyeon was accepted into the theater troupe based on her ability, not her connections. After that, the young girl officially started her life in the theater troupe and made new friends, even the ones who always bullied her. This caused Jeong Nyeon to encounter many troubles when participating in her first play.
Although the drama Jeongnyeon has a very strong cast, mostly female actors, after the first 2 episodes, Kim Tae Ri still successfully overshadowed everyone to become the "soul" of the drama. She not only performed the character's singing part excellently, but also had the ability to touch the hearts of viewers with her delicate acting. In particular, the scene where Jeong Nyeon recalled the pain of losing her father to be able to get emotional for the audition made viewers emotional.
It is known that in order to be able to sing in the film, Kim Tae Ri spent 3 years practicing her voice before officially becoming the character Jeong Nyeon. Currently, the performance of the beauty Kim as Jeong Nyeon is a hot topic in Korea. The audience and the media are full of praise, mentioning the film Jeongnyeon with keywords such as "Kim Tae Ri Effect" or even "Kim Tae Ri's Magic" (quoted from Sports Chosun).
