Roman's fists tightened.

Marcus smiled.

"You finally came."

Roman walked toward him.

"Give it back."

Marcus laughed.

"You still think this is about the helmet?"

Roman stopped.

"What do you want?"

Marcus looked at him.

"Your brother knew something."

Roman's expression changed.

"About what?"

Marcus lifted the helmet.

"Seven years ago, Ethan wasn't supposed to die."

Silence.

Roman's breathing stopped.

Marcus continued.

"The crash wasn't an accident."

Roman stared at him.

"You're lying."

"Am I?"

Marcus threw a photograph onto the ground.

Roman picked it up.

It showed Ethan standing beside a motorcycle.

Behind him was Marcus.

And another man.

Roman recognized the second man.

It was someone who had been investigated after the crash.

Someone who had disappeared afterward.

Roman looked up.

"Who paid you?"

Marcus smiled.

"You've spent seven years blaming yourself."

He stepped closer.

"You should have been blaming the people who caused it."

Roman felt something inside him break.

Seven years of guilt.

Seven years of nightmares.

Seven years of believing he had killed his own brother.

And now someone was telling him it had been murder.

Marcus demanded something in exchange for the evidence.

Money.

A large amount.

Roman refused.

Marcus threatened Leo.

Roman immediately understood.

This wasn't about Ethan anymore.

Marcus had discovered that Roman would do anything to protect the boy.

So Roman made a decision.

He called the police.

Then he followed Marcus.

The chase began through the abandoned racetrack.

Motorcycles tore through the empty streets.

Roman followed Marcus through narrow roads, old tunnels, and industrial streets.

Eventually Marcus crashed.

Roman stopped.

He could have left him.

Instead, he called an ambulance.

Marcus looked up at him.

"Why?"

Roman stared at him.

"Because I'm not you."

The police arrived minutes later.

The helmet was recovered.

So was the evidence.

But there was still one question.

Was Marcus telling the truth?

Weeks later, investigators reopened Ethan's death.

The evidence was real.

The crash had been deliberately caused.

Someone had tampered with Ethan's motorcycle.

Roman finally learned the truth.

His brother hadn't died because Roman had been reckless.
