Rain poured down without stopping.

A violent flood and landslide had devastated the small town at the foot of the mountain near Raven Base.

Ethan jumped into the rescue truck without realizing that the address being called out was the same street where his parents lived.

The road was buried in mud.

When the team finally arrived, half of the house had already collapsed, and the roof was crushed under rocks and earth.

A neighbor pointed at the ruins and cried out:

“Save your mother first.”

He lifted his father’s shoulders.

They crawled toward the exit together.

Ethan dragged his father through the final narrow gap.

The moment they reached the outside, the rest of the house collapsed completely.

Mud, rain, and dust exploded into the air.

His mother rushed forward and embraced both of them, sobbing uncontrollably.

Ethan sank to the ground, exhausted and shaking.

A teammate looked at him and asked softly:

“In there, were you a soldier… or a son?”

Ethan looked at his parents holding each other tightly.
