Everyone is advised to eat more tomatoes because they are rich in vitamin C, carotene, and carbohydrates. The combination of these nutrients not only helps reduce dry skin but also whitens and beautifies the skin.

When selecting tomatoes, you may notice that some have a round navel while others are pointed. These two types of tomatoes are quite different. If you pick randomly, you might end up with sour tomatoes or those with a very firm and hard texture.

It’s best to avoid buying tomatoes with pointed navels. During the growth phase of tomatoes, farmers often spray growth hormones on the flower pistils to preserve the female flowers. Excessive use of these hormones can result in tomatoes developing pointed navels. For the sake of your health, it’s safer to choose rounder tomatoes with less pointed navels.

When buying tomatoes, in addition to choosing those with a round top, you should also look for tomatoes with three lobes to ensure they are juicy and flavorful.
