Tuna, Egg, and Cucumber Protein Bowl 

Ingredients

For the Bowl:

  • 1 can (140–160 g) tuna in water or olive oil, drained

  • 2 hard-boiled eggs, peeled and chopped

  • 1 medium cucumber, thinly sliced

  • 1–2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

For the Dressing (optional but recommended):

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

  • 1 teaspoon mustard (optional)

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

1. Prepare the Hard-Boiled Eggs

  1. Place the eggs in a pot and cover with cold water.

  2. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

  3. Once boiling, cook for 9–10 minutes.

  4. Transfer eggs to an ice bath and let sit for 5 minutes.

  5. Peel and chop them into bite-size pieces.


2. Prepare the Cucumber

  1. Wash the cucumber thoroughly.

  2. Slice into thin, even rounds.

  3. Set aside.


3. Prepare the Tuna

  1. Open the tuna can and drain excess liquid.

  2. Use a fork to gently flake the tuna into smaller pieces.

  3. Season lightly with salt and pepper if desired.


4. Assemble the Bowl

  1. Place the tuna on one side of the bowl.

  2. Add the sliced cucumber on the opposite side.

  3. Add the chopped boiled eggs in the remaining section.

  4. Sprinkle chopped parsley evenly over the entire bowl.


5. Add the Dressing (Optional)

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together:

    • Olive oil

    • Lemon juice

    • Mustard (optional)

    • Salt and pepper

  2. Drizzle over the tuna, eggs, and cucumbers before serving.


Serving Suggestions

  • Serve immediately for best freshness.

  • Can be eaten on its own or paired with whole-grain bread, crackers, or rice.

  • Ideal as a high-protein lunch or light dinner.
