The two brothers had grown up under the same roof.
But after their father died, they found themselves on opposite sides of a courtroom.
The older brother insisted that their father had left the family home to him.
The younger brother disagreed.

It was an old box.
Nobody in the courtroom seemed to know what was inside.
The box contained several documents that, according to the younger brother, no one in the family had known about.
The older brother’s attorney immediately stood and objected.
The judge ordered the documents to be examined carefully.

It was a letter written by their father many years earlier.
There were only a few lines.
