Very effective
1. Calcium supplement
Eggshells contain a lot of calcium and minerals, which help to increase nutrition for pets in the family.
You can wash the eggshells, fry them in a pan until crispy or dry them thoroughly. Then, grind the eggshells into a fine powder and mix them into the pet's food.
2. Make seedling sprouts
You can split the eggshells in half, wash them to make seed sprouts. Just peel off the inner membrane of the eggshell, punch a small hole in the bottom to drain water. Add soil to the eggshells and bury the seeds in them, spray a little water to moisten the soil. Leave these eggshell seed sprouts in a cool place for a few days. The seeds will slowly germinate. Then, simply bury both the eggshell and the seedling in the soil. The eggshell will slowly decompose, providing additional nutrients for the plant to grow.
3. Fertilizer for plants
Eggshells contain a lot of potassium, magnesium, phosphate, and iron, which are very good for plants. You can keep the eggshells after each cooking, wash them and dry them. You can use raw eggshells or dry roast them, then crush them and mix them into the soil or compost them with leftover fruit and vegetable peels to make organic fertilizer.
You can also mix eggshell powder with rice water to water plants every day to help them grow healthy and strong.
4. Clean grease stains in bottles
For bottles and jars with small mouths or grease that is difficult to clean, you can use eggshells to help remove dirt inside.
Wash the eggshells, crush them and put them in the jar. Fill the jar with water and leave overnight. Then, rinse the jar several times so that the eggshells can remove dirt inside. Pour out the water and eggshells, and rinse the jar with clean water.
5. Repel ants
During the rainy season, there are quite a lot of ant colonies. They often nest in the corners of the house and cause a lot of trouble for people's lives. You can use eggshells to repel ants without spending money on ant killers, without fear of affecting your health.
Wash the eggshells, roast them until dry and turn yellow. Crush the eggshells and sprinkle this powder in the corners of the wall or where ants often go. The smell of the eggshells will make ants not dare to come into the house and have to move elsewhere.
6. Clean the bottom of pots and pans
During the cooking process, it is inevitable that you will overcook or be negligent for a few minutes, causing the food to burn and clump at the bottom of the pan, leaving black stains that are difficult to scrub. Even if you soak the soap in it for a long time, it is still very difficult to remove these stains on the bottom of the pot or pan.
In this case, try using eggshells.
Take the washed eggshells, crush them and put them in a pot or pan, add a little salt and put them on the stove to heat. Then, turn off the stove and leave it for a while for the stains to come off. Rinse the pot or pan to remove all the dirt.
7. Clean the blender blade
When using a blender, food scraps can get stuck in places that are difficult to clean. At this time, you can take a few eggshells and put them in the blender, add warm water and turn on the blender. The stains and plaque will come off the blade. The protease in the eggshells has a cleaning effect, making the blade shiny.
8. Clean stains on clothes
For stained clothes, especially white items, you can use eggshells to clean them, helping to restore the original bright white state to the clothes.
Take the washed eggshells, crush them and put them in a cloth bag, tie the bag tightly. Prepare a basin of hot water. Soak the clothes and cloth bag containing the eggshells in hot water for about 30 minutes. Then, remove the eggshells and wash the clothes with soap as usual.
