Woman hospitalized in coma, doctor warns: "Eating dinner like this will only k.i.ll you"

Recently, Ms. Hou in Guangzhou (China) had to be hospitalized because of this harmful eating habit. On the evening of October 23, Ms. Hou, 34 years old, suddenly had a fever, severe abdominal pain, diarrhea, and continuous vomiting. When she was taken to the hospital, she was in a coma and in shock, her life was hanging by a thread.

The day before, Ms. Hou felt a little uncomfortable in her body but did not pay attention. In the evening after work, she ate grilled chicken wings, grilled meat, and drank 3-4 cans of beer. After examination, the doctors determined that Ms. Hou had severe acute pancreatitis, in addition to diabetic ketoacidosis, septic shock, and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome, which were very dangerous.

The doctors immediately tried every way to save her life. After 4 days of hospitalization for monitoring and treatment, Ms. Hou gradually regained consciousness, and her organs also recovered.

Ms. Hou's sudden illness is related to her eating habits. Like many people, due to her busy work schedule, Ms. Hou often does not eat on time, eats late at night and eats a lot, and drinks alcohol when gathering with friends. Doctors said that such habits are very likely to cause acute pancreatitis and also warned Ms. Hou: "If you continue to eat and drink like this, you will only lose your life."

Acute pancreatitis is occurring more and more. This disease is common in people who drink alcohol for a long time and eat too much. Its mortality rate is relatively high, and if it progresses to severe pancreatitis, many organs will weaken rapidly (if pancreatic necrosis occurs, the mortality rate will exceed 50%).

Doctors remind: If you have abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, fever, etc. after eating too much, do not be subjective and go to the hospital as soon as possible.
