Morning—especially right after waking up—is considered a golden time for detoxification and weight loss in women. After a long night’s sleep, the body needs to reboot, especially the digestive system. This is when the air is fresh, the body is relaxed, and it hasn’t yet been affected by food or external factors.
That’s why morning is the ideal time for the body to cleanse itself, slow aging, and lose weight effectively. If you commit to these three habits daily, your body will become healthier and more beautiful over time:
1. Wake Up Early and Practice Breathing Exercises
Waking up early helps the body detox and boosts overall health. According to traditional medicine and the Ayurvedic system from India, the ideal time to wake up is between 5–6 a.m. This allows the body to naturally eliminate toxins and strengthen the immune system.
After waking, spend 3–5 minutes relaxing in bed, then do a simple breathing exercise: inhale deeply for 2 seconds, exhale for 4 seconds, and hold your breath for 3 seconds. This exercise energizes the body, boosts metabolism, supports detoxification, aids in weight loss, and improves cardiovascular health.
2. Prioritize Tongue Cleaning
Tongue cleaning is an important part of oral hygiene but is often overlooked. During the night, the body naturally detoxifies and toxins accumulate on the tongue. Cleaning your tongue in the morning removes these toxins and protects your digestive health.
According to Ayurveda, cleaning your tongue on an empty stomach not only helps cleanse the body but also stimulates the taste buds, improves digestion, and prevents illness. It’s best to do this before breakfast and while the stomach is still empty for optimal benefits.
3. Drink a Glass of Warm Water
A glass of warm water in the morning works wonders for detoxifying the body. Drinking warm water after waking up helps rehydrate, improve digestion, relieve constipation, and promote heart health. It also supports the liver, kidneys, and stomach in flushing out toxins.
Morning hydration stimulates the intestines to eliminate waste while encouraging urination and sweating—helping the liver and kidneys detox more effectively. Warm water also nourishes the skin and slows the aging process.
Of course, you can drink room-temperature water, but warm water (ideally between 35°C and 45°C) is more effective. Avoid water hotter than 60°C. Also, don’t drink more than 500ml at once, and sip slowly in small gulps.
In addition to these habits, you can also try light exercise, eat an early and healthy breakfast, maintain regular bowel movements, and practice meditation. These habits enhance detoxification, support weight loss, and slow aging. Make the most of your mornings to take care of your health and keep your body energized and vibrant.
