Would you get a brain implant from Elon Musk's company?

Neuralink, Elon Musk’s brain-computer interface company, aims to revolutionize human cognition by implanting tiny chips in the brain to enhance memory, enable telepathic communication, and even restore lost neurological functions.

Proponents argue that this technology could help people with paralysis, brain injuries, or neurodegenerative diseases regain mobility and communication abilities. It also opens the door to advanced human-computer interaction, potentially allowing users to control devices with their thoughts.

However, Neuralink is highly controversial due to ethical, privacy, and safety concerns.

Critics warn that brain implants could be vulnerable to hacking, raise serious questions about consent and long-term effects, and deepen social inequality if only the wealthy can afford cognitive enhancements. A consortium of doctors has also criticized the company over its approach to development.

So would you get one of the company's implants? Why or why not?
