A young man in Thailand caused a stir when he revealed that he married a 3m long cobra.

Worranan Sarasalin from Kanchanaburi, Thailand shared on social media a series of photos, which recorded moments of his life when he married a snake.

Warranan Sarasalin, a religious man, said he believed in reincarnation and that humans could be reborn as animals. He said the 3m-long snake bore an “uncanny resemblance” to his deceased girlfriend.

Catching snakes is part of my job as a firefighter. I train young trainees how to handle a snake. After catching a snake, they can release it back into the wild,” Abu said. He emphasized that the most important goal is not to kill the snakes and release them safely.
Abu said he does not keep a snake in captivity all the time. When a new snake is caught, he releases the old one into the forest. Abu never keeps one snake for more than a year and has cared for four snakes in total.
“I have been training snakes since 2007. This hobby was passed down to me by my father. He is a snake lover,” Abu shared. “Snakes are not difficult to handle. There are many misunderstandings about this animal.”
