We invite you to scroll down and see some of the popular characters from different anime such as Demon Slayer, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Jujutsu Kaisen, and more!
Bored Panda reached out to Kaseifu to find out how she started creating the incredibly detailed bento boxes.

Demon Slayer
Amazed by how detailed and accurate these anime-themed bento boxes are, we asked the artist about how she gets her inspiration for all of these creations.
“Most of them are made in response to my daughter’s requests. I also often make popular anime that is airing at that time.”
For some, cooking simple dishes seems hard enough already, but we were wondering, how long does it take to produce a dish this detailed? The food artist gave us all the answers we need.
“It depends on the character, really, but usually, it takes around 3 hours, but that’s mostly to make side dishes.”
Kaseifu has a lot of works on her Instagram account, so we were curious if she has a favorite.
“There are so many that I really can’t decide! However, there were some surprisingly successful works that I made when I created characters that I didn’t know much about. Both times, the characters were from Yuyu White Paper and Kingdom!”

My Neighbor Totoro
Seeing such a variety of works, we were wondering how the talented artist could come up with ideas so frequently.
“When I see a picture I want to make and come up with ingredients that go well with it, I get the energy to make it.”
When it comes to food, the process of cooking and preparing it can be rather complicated, and Kaseifu shared some of the biggest challenges that she has to face in order to come up with such detailed pieces.
“To be honest, the biggest challenge is balancing out the character’s face parts. The simpler the character, the more difficult it is. Also, as much as the characters themselves are important, it’s also as important to not forget about side dishes too, because it’s bento, after all!”
The creative process is one of the main parts when it comes to any type of art, so it’s always interesting to see what parts are considered to be most interesting and enjoyable for the artists themselves.
“For me, it’s always fun to think about how much you can make with some of the ingredients that you have in your fridge or cupboard. However, my favorite part after the initial idea is seeing my followers enjoying what I do because it makes me happy too.”
