A TikToker is captivating audiences with an oddly satisfying viral video of glass bottles careening down a flight of marble steps.
The first bottle to face its fate in a video posted Tuesday by user @rachapotes is filled with what appears to be colorful glass marbles.
The bottle shatters as soon as it hits the second step.
The video’s caption simply reads “#asmr #asmrsounds #asmrtiktoks.” ASMR is the term for the pleasurable sensation people get when they watch or listen to stimulating videos and sounds.
The clip has amassed more than 212 million views on TikTok.
“This video of glass bottles rolling down the stairs got 50x more views than the Succession finale,” one person tweeted in reference to the final episode of the HBO drama, which drew 2.9 million viewers on May 28.
A bottle of champagne is up next. Sent down the step on its side, the bottle bounces, flipping itself over before the wasted beverage and pieces of glass go down the stairs.
“That second one was violent,” one commenter noted.
The third item, a bottle of olives, also made quite a mess as it shattered on its first step, sending little green garnishes, juice, and glass down the stairway.
A Heineken, Choco Milk, and Coke bottle are tested as well — the latter, as one commenter put it, “went through hell” as it never shattered, but leaked all the way down to the landing.
Two similar videos boasting more that 7.1 million and 2.2 million views, respectively, are captioned with the same ASMR hashtags as the uber-viral original, with no further explanation provided by the @rachapotes account.
A RachaPotes YouTube channel, which features the videos, launched Thursday. The @rachapotes account on Instagram, which also posted the videos, is based in India.
The TikTok clip collected 168,000 comments from people astounded and confused as they tried to work through what they just watched.
“Who is cleaning this?” one person asked.
“Imagine your shoot (sic) the first clip and then accidentally delete it …” another hypothesized in horror.
“The coke was so extra for no reason,” someone else laughed.
One person boldly stated about the marble-filled bottle: “The first one was the best video I have ever seen on TikTok.”
